Photo Scavenger Hunt at Leesburg Library
Teens love to take pictures and post them online. As a way to document all the different ways that teens use the library, the Leesburg Public Library will host a Photo Scavenger Hunt for ages 12 to 18. Teens should bring a digital camera or camera phone if they have one, including any necessary cords in order to upload. Teens that do not have a camera will still be able to participate as a member of a team. The event starts at 2:00 PM in “The Amazing Space,” teen room and will conclude with the photos being up loaded to a group on the photo hosting site Flickr.com.
The Photo Scavenger Hunt is part of the “Feed Your Brain” Teen Summer Reading Program at the Leesburg Public Library. Photos from past events are viewable at http://www.flickr.com/photos/leesburglibrary/. Teen can earn prizes for writing reviews on the books they read and attend fun and informative programs each Tuesday at 2:00 PM through July 25th. Teens can register in person or online. For additional information about the Summer Program or other teen activities, contact Natalie Houston, Young Adult Librarian, 352-728-9790. Leesburg Public Library, “Your Information Destination,” 100 E. Main Street Leesburg, FL 34748.
