Summer Calendars Available at the Leesburg Library

May 12 is the beginning of early registration for Summer Reading at the Leesburg Library. For six weeks, from June9 to July 25, kids from preschool to age 11, can read for prizes in the “Catch the Reading Bug” Summer Reading Program. The program includes great free programs, highlighted by Wednesday “Big Events” featuring magicians, jugglers, storytellers, dancers, live animals, and music makers. Children must be registered for Summer Reading to attend any of the library’s summer programs, this year. Monthly calendars are now available at the Youth Services desk, so stop by the library at 100 Main Street to find out what’s going on.

Summer Reading is a great, low cost way to entertain the kids, this summer, and also keep up their interest in reading throughout the summer vacation. There are separate programs for teens and toddlers at the library. For information about all summer youth activities, call the library at 728-9790, or stop by the Leesburg Public Library.
